" Merry Christmas"

This has been quite a year, not just for me but for all of us. My Christmas wish is that we all take the time to enjoy our famlies and loved ones and the time we have to share with them.
This next week will be so busy for me I'll not even have time to think or even blink. I'm not wild about how commericalized this Season has becomed I just try to take a deep breath and stay out of the stores unless it's imperative that I go. (usually means being dragged there)!!!
I'm hoping I can find a real sleigh-ride here in Casper to go on I think it would be awesome.

Black Friday, Tired Feet and Overstuffed

Thank you "God" for allowing me not to be caught up in the after Thanksgiving Day sales. I am grateful for my health, home and loved ones and my "Blog-Friends", and a job. I'd decided not to bother with a picture since it will be all over the news to night anyway. Besides this is the only time I get to sleep in so why would I willing give that up to stand in the cold and come home with 50% chance of a bad attitude? Oh, and if you didn't get your eight year old a Wii maybe they need to learn to play with other kids their age and not be isolated . Old school thinking I know and nope I don't have any children and if I did they would be involed in activities not video games or "MY SPACE".

My camera is broken, so I found a picture of some Prairie Dogs, usually I just see one head of sticking out of the mound of soil looking around.

This is a Sage Grouse, when I first saw this bird I didn't know what to think. My eye for fashion appealled to me quite abit though. I would never have though of wearing fur with feathers! It's times like this when I get hit with a 2x4 and realize that there is Power waay greater than me.

This year's parade was over the top. The weather was beautiful, the people in the parade the people watching the parade everyone was beautiful. I think I'm gonna cry! Sorry I cry at cartoons. My friend drove down from Sacramento to see the parade and people came from all around the world, why shoot even John Edwards wife spoke to a group before the parade.

Going Fishing....

I have no clue why I'm thinking about going fishing, I can't stand to touch a worm or any other kind of bait. Then if I should catch a fish I sheik in terror at the thought of having to unhook it.
The only reason I had this thought is because the mural on the Cafe Trieste wall has all these locals at the seashore bragging about their catch.
The only thing (s) I like about fishing is skinny dipping to cool off esp. when we have the lake all to ourselves,or reading a book under a shade tree, and not returning home until it's way after dark.
I don't like cleaning 'em, but I do like catfish and hush puppies, Cole slaw and sun made tea.
Well, now I have talked myself into a good old fashion fish dinner tonight, MM.

Funny thing happened on the way to the racetrack, for real!!!

Fantastic day at the beach and just about anywhere else you went today. I actually have time to post something but wouldn't you know I can't think of anything at all. Thrusday I went all the way down to Bay Meadows to place my bet on "Street Sense", the agent told me I had to come back on Friday. Well, you know by the time Friday got here I had spent the money....
Soooo, Friday finally arrived and M. says at 1:30 let's go place that bet. The problem was that we were going to a Track 'n Field meet and that was happening at 3, one of our friends her daughter was running.
Well, we stop off to take care of an errand.
Out of nowhere I just fell down.
M. said I was very gracefull at it, matter of fact she'd never seen anyone take five minutes to fall down.
We didn't make it to the track, either one of them.
M. tells me to call a friend to see which horse he's picking, I say "Why?"
Anyway you know the rest of how this played out.
Unhun---- So I go to the local "Sit and Spin" to wash the hall and bathroom rug because I got over excited when "MY HORSE" won (I really have to stop drinking)
on the way back I begin to smell money, I look to my left and there it is just waiting for me.
Guess what it's the Forty Bucks I would have won if hadn't jumped the gun by going to the racetrack on the wrong day.

Sunday was spent at the Botantical Gardens and this is just one of the many beautiful flowers that are in bloom right now. The fog came in and it got kinda chilly so we left and went to beer bust to warm up. Any reason is a good reason for beer!!! I sorta didn't know what to do with myself since I didn't have to be good and could actually enjoy the day. It seemed strange not having to rest in the middle of the day. I think I can get used to this.

Hooray!!!!

Hooray!!! After being sick for two weeks with the second round of bronkitis, finding out from a third doctor that I do have loss of hearing in the left ear and yes there still is an infection going on in there, what medicine would I like to clear this up? "I'm sorry I didn't catch that." Yep, I got to tell the doctor what I wanted, damnit! (Wish I'd known before I had the appointment.) I have a few happy items I could have used a refill on.... Oh the hell with it!
So after I returned to work I got brave and told the boss, "Look this is what I'm going to do from now on", and you know what they said, are you sitting down? "Sure, anything you want Miss Skye". Okay, damnit! Wish I'd known that before I marched in like General Sherman on a mission. "Oh the hell with it!"
So now I don't do a double shift on Sunday any more, my health is too important to me. I'm afraid if I get sick again it will go into new-moan-ya! (yes I know i missed spelled it). So today being my first Sunday off in over five years, I'm taking Maria to the S.F. Botanical Gardens, hopefully I'll get some cool pictures. Gawd, it's not even 6 a.m. and I'm already off work for 3 days. About time they started treating me better, Lord knows I deserve it.

Something I think that is really cool.

I have a couple of friends that I recently met and you know what ,they take care of dogs that have all sorts of problems. The problems can vary from; well you name it ,and the dogs could have that problem. Anyway, This one little guy they had there had a tooth problem and he was very aggressive about who got to pet him, also he couldn't see where he was going and would bump into the furniture, the other dogs,people.
They got him to the vet. took care of his sore mouth problem, he got a new hair cut, and guess what. The next time we saw him we didn't even recognise him . We both thought he was a new addition to the group. Then last Sat. he went back to the vet for a follow up visit then they came over to the house. A day or so later we swing by their place because M. had forgotten her orchid, and the little guy ran to greet us. He was all smiles and was actually showing his little bottom teeth just grinning from ear to ear. At one point he was standing really close to me and M. told me not to get any ideas on adopting him, we have enough animals to 'take care of, I had to promise not to get attached to him.

and I plan to open up a chain of Drive-In Movies Screens. Yep, that is what America needs right now, getting back to basics. Who cares what's playing on the big screen and the kids are spinning around on the merry-go-round and the windows are all fogged up! America needs to get back to basics, a little love making at the drive-in was damn good. I honnestly can say I went to more movies and never saw one scene of any of them. ...I must be feeling better my mind is thinking some strange thoughts these days. Basically I'm just trying not to focus on all the negative crap in the world today. My mind is wondering around thinking about wouldn't it be nice if today's kids could grow up in a world were the worse thing they did was go to a Friday night drive-in movie!

Well, that was quite a short visit from my Baby Sister, and now she's gone, proably won't see her for another 4 years. So we went out to Ocean Beach and walked, talked and watched the sunset.

My Baby Sister rolled into town sooo I have got to visit with her as I haven't seen her in 4 years and there's lots of catching up to do. Will be back in a few days. Take care everyone. skye

Just A Sunday Ride

The strangest thing occured to me last night. We have got to quit feeding the refrigator it's keeps getting taller than me. It seems like the more food that is in there the higher it gets. I guess it's time to find me the right step stool! Then later we went to Rite Aid and they said that they're putting a Starbucks in next door along side the new hardware store. I'm thinking, "Oh great, get'em jacked up and watch'em build a house"! We get home and the phone rings a friend tells me she's horny , so to sorta change the subject I asked her what her favorite movie was, she replies, "A Man For All Seasons"...
A few nights ago I'm driving along minding my own business and I see this deer over at the ATM machine, she was trying to get a buck!
Sunday we take a ride up to the wine country, it was beautiful hot and humid. We stop off in this old hotel saloon, proably was there durring the early 1849's. It was so old that the wasp nest had relocated to a lower level. We go in put our names up on the chalk board to play some pool sit at the bar and get a couple of Budwisers long necks. The bar tender comes over and begins rattling off all these jokes, he is wearing me out from all this wealth of humor. The only one I got out of all of 'em was , "What do you call a smart blonde?" Oh dang, now I forgot how it went!!!

a Dream Or Is It Real?

The journey begins and take me into a magical and mysterious land. Winding my way thru the "Narrows" and as I reach the top of the hill a thin blanket of fog rises up from the water and bay. The houseboats seem to float above the water suspended only by the tranquil translucence. I glance over at my partner, oblivious to our entering into Avalon, we drive into the night of fog. As we get closer to our destination I can see the peaks of the mountains off in the distance surrounded by layers of fog. The road disappears from view and for all I know we are traveling on air, not asphalt. Pulling up to our stop, my helper gets out and unlocks the door to the abyss. I get out of the truck and I'm greeted by three small deers, who are curious as to what I've brought to eat that night and if I'll share with them. Of course I will does any of you like spaghetti, how about an old burrito, oh and don't forget I always have a left over chocolate donut from yesterday which one of you three wants that thing?
