Sunset at the Russian River
As Summer begins to drift slowly down the river, I reflect on what a wonderful time I've had this year. I've met and made new friends from all around the globe. I renewed some friendships that I was afraid it might have been to late to save. We still have our Indian Summer to come and it will proably be hotter than it was durring June/ July or August. We're about to enter Mark Twain climate; "the hottest summer was a winter in San Francisco." So slowly I bid goodbye to Summer.

WOW! I LIKE THAT A-WHOLE LOT! :)
If Summer ends at 9:03 p.m. and Autumn begins at 12:03 a.m. what season is it between 9-12? I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas please share....
Come to Vegas, where the summer lasts longer than everywhere else.
I'll trade you locations
Alright your on," Meet me at the CasaBlanca at midnight" ... a very old lost epsiode from Abbot and Costella. Hey Ciscokid thanks for coming by, I hope to see ya again. :)
Hmmm..... not sure the answer to your question... good one though!
I'm looking forward to the cooler nights, the changing leaves, and the pumpkins everywhere. We still have a long way to go before the leaves fall... but have my trusty lawnmower ready for the mulching process. I detest raking, and do it in only the most extreme cases.
As for summer.... it was 90+ degrees yesterday, even though it was overcast all day. The humidity was thick enough to cut with a knife, and I went through two clothes changes due to sweating. It looks like we still have a way to go before summer temps are officially over here. But hey... it's raining today. Woohoo for the grass!
That is funny, I e-mailed you almost the same response yesterday. LOL! :)...
I love Twain. He was so great with words and wit.
Fab photo!
Beautiful photo...and yes, what a summer! Thanks for your kind and encouraging words on my blog!!!
Thinking of you...
